Lex Thin BLADE-A is a thin-blade chisel system that has been developed with the goal of safely and quickly detaching the bone and implant (cementless cup) interface which is securely fixed to the acetabulum, while minimizing damage to the bone.
Something that was previously unavailable, the inclusion of an edge remover significantly enhances the usability of the existing blade system, enabling efficient work within a short timeframe.
While removing bone overhangs from the acetabular rim, the detachment of the acetabular bone that has intruded into the cup is performed.
Carefully insert the thin blade into the gap between the acetabular bone and the cup, and create an opening to allow easy insertion of the blade to be used later.
To accurately insert the thin blade along the diameter of the cup, thin blades corresponding to the size of the cup are prepared in 2mm increments, totaling 14 blades (from 38mm to 65mm).
Remove the screw and liner, and insert a liner trial which is the same size as ball diameter.
Insert the blade into the opening created by the edge remover, and maneuver the blade around the circumference of the cup's outer diameter in a rotational manner centered around the ball, detaching the bond between the bone and the cup.
The blade's inner diameter is designed to match the cup's outer diameter, and blades corresponding to the size of the cup are prepared in 1mm increments, totaling 28 blades (from 38mm to 65mm), in order to minimize bone resection.
Used blades are user-replaceable.
Unscrew the locking cap and pull out the blade part.
